Avaya Remote Maintenance and Technical Support - United States -

The purpose of the RMATS is to remotely: repair voice & data equipment, program voice & data equipment, troubleshoot voice & data equipment and support the field service techs with both the CM and IP Office platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Expected to act professionally when communicating with an MVD customer or with any MVD business partners.
  • Must get customer approvals on the assigned task and turn them into dispatch within 48 hours of the completion of each task.
  • Responsible for communicating with Dispatch and Project Managers on the status of open tasks and orders.
  • Responsible for accessing and servicing customer equipment remotely to the best of their ability and escalating issues per assigned procedures to ensure that customer problems are resolved.
  • Support Field Service Technicians and Business Partners as needed.
  • Work with manufacturers to resolve customer’s issues.
  • Process change orders as needed.
  • Responsible to maintain required certs.
  • Participate in weekly on-call rotation.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to use manufacturer’s manuals and public information to resolve issues.
  • Ability to Project manage larger multisite projects and Lead them through and be on site for cutover.

Requirements

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • 7+ years experience in telecommunications; combination of education and experience acceptable.
  • Strong background in the installation and implementation of Avaya Communications Manager (CM), IP Office and Call center.
  • Proven ability to connect, test, troubleshoot, and service telephone and data networking equipment.
  • Minimum Avaya Certified Associate IP Implementation.
  • ATSA Certification.
  • Strong background in the installation and implementation of Avaya Networks Server translations and connectivity including Communications Manager, Avaya Session Manager/System Manager, Session Border Controller.
  • Strong background in networking and virtualization.
  • Proven ability to connect, test, and troubleshoot VOIP services.
  • Avaya Aura Communication Manager, System Platform and AES. Maintain all Definity and Intuity voice mail product lines. Avaya call accounting and eCas products. Modular Messaging, Legend. Magix/Merlin mail. IP Office R.9, IP Office Server Edition.
  • MPLS Networks.
  • Network Assessment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Avaya Certified Engineer preferred.
  • Product Authorization for implementation of Intuity Audix and Modular Messaging preferred.
  • Cisco and Microsoft certification is a plus.
  • CCNA and above in Networking and Routing.
  • Knowledge of high speed circuits, routers, and switches; Adtran and HP preferred.

Avaya Field Technician - Cincinnati, OH -

The Avaya Field Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and installation of voice and data equipment. The field technician's essential duties include, but not limited to, the following:

Responsibilitie Include:

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Technicians must be on time on a daily basis due to customer scheduling
  • Attend and participate in daily operations conference calls
  • Assist and help create new sales opportunities while visiting customer base
  • Technicians are expected to act professionally when representing MVD at a customer’s site or in a company vehicle
  • Technicians are responsible for notifying MVD management of any issues with their vehicle
  • Technicians are responsible for getting a customer signature on each task via mobile tablet and returning any documentation and or photos to customer service in a timely manner
  • Technicians are responsible for the inventorying the equipment in their vehicles each quarter
  • Technicians are responsible for installing equipment to the best of their ability and notifying their supervisor of any issues
  • Technicians are responsible to maintain and adhere to applicable certifications for their position and job functions. MVD makes available necessary training options and offers considerations for additional training based on technology evaluations and performance reviews
  • Maintain appropriate SLA’s with customer tickets
  • Ability to support normal work schedules along with on-call rotation

Required Skills

  • 3+ Year’s experience in telecommunications; combination of education and experience acceptable
  • Background in the installation and implementation of Avaya IP Office, including Server Edition
  • Background in networking and virtualization – CCNA or equivalent a plus
  • Proven ability to connect, test and troubleshoot VOIP services
  • Experience with telco including POTS, PRI and SIP
  • Experience using CLI network utilities (ping, traceroute, netstat etc.)
  • Experience with using Wireshark or any network monitoring software
  • Experience with call accounting products
  • Experience with legacy equipment such as Partner systems, Legend, Magix/Merlin mail a plus

Mitel Field Technician - Cincinnati, OH -

  • Proven ability to connect, test, troubleshoot, and service telephone and data networking equipment
  • At a minimum candidate must be certified to implement 3300 ICP or Mitel 5000 preferably both
  • Product certifications for implementation of Mitel Applications Suite, Nupoint Messaging, UCA, MCA, and Teleworker Server
